here is a pic of my beautiful giant .i got it from my lbs for £150 (for my b'day)as it was being used as a sort of courtesy bike that they lent out. although it did have slicks on ! 
. i use it for general riding and i race on it in my local xc race series the FNSS.i also visit cannock chase from time to time 
. i have upgraded the wheels to a pair of mavic crossrides which look skilllll !! Im looking to upgrade the forks as well

Rebas will save more weight and make more of a difference than slx cranks0

yh i think i will get the rebas first and then maybe an SLX chainset cuz one on it now weighs a ton

should i upgrade the tyres ? the schwables i have on have puncture protection which dosent work.and they're heavy and slow rolling.
maxxis high roller 2.1 up front ?

Schwalbe nobby nic front and Schwalbe racing ralph back Uncle has em on his P7 and has had for 7 months without a puncture 0

We already have snow up here really good fun.
No tyre is gonna be great in the snow but just let a lot of air out the front and hope to god you dont pinch!0 -
